Corrective hinge shoes for treatment of Intoeing, Forefoot
Adduction, Metatarsus primus Varus & Pes cavus

           Gradual correction of foot's soft tissue deformities by repeated forming plaster Casts is a well known treatment that is used for many years, and is considered
A good method for treatment of above mentioned deformities.
Dennis Brown splint is made on the similar purpose.

           The effect of gradual manipulation of the forefoot to Valgus in the cases of
Adductor forefoot, metatarsus primus Varus and Pes cavus is also negotiable.

           The need to prepare a kind of special shoe to solve the problems was felt & a
Prototype was prepared.
This special shoe has 4 main parts:

             A) - Forefoot part of the shoe.
B) - Hind foot part of the shoe.
C) – Metallic Hinge & Holders
D) – Posterior slab that will be attached to the posterior part of the shoe, and
Has T shaped upper. Part, that is use fool in the cases of Pes cavus and
Equinus position of the foot. And post post operation for short Achilles
Tendon.    

                    Two kinds of corrective shoes are planned:
1) – Corrective None walking shoes.
2) - Corrective walking shoes.

                      Usually these shoes are not prepared for walking, and so can be used
Before the time the child starts walking. But as mentioned before it can
Be changed to walking shoe.

                      Two kinds of metallic hinge holders are planned:
I ) –Regular type for the cases without Cavus & Equinus deformity.
II) –Hard type for the cases of Pes cavus & Rotational Toe deformity.

                       Shoe can be made by hard lather, enforced lather or Orthoplast
